You may now choose out of four available settings if you are creating a new or editing an already created promotion in the Products > Promotions section:

Deducted from commission
Deducted from wholesale rate
Split 50 / 50
Pro-rata



Note that you may find examples with comparisons of particular settings after choosing the desired one at the bottom of the promotion tab. Check it for a better idea of how the whole thing works.

1. Deducted from Commission

This is the original and the only setting available before the update. It was provided through an optional checkbox. It simply means the discount is deducted from the commission.

2. Deducted from Wholesale Rate

This is a new option. It allows to you to deduct discounts from your wholesale rate.

3. Split 50/50

This is a new option. It allows you to deduct discounts from the commission and from your wholesale rate. The ratio is an even 50/50.

4. Pro-rata

This is a new option. It also allows to deduct discount from the commission and from your wholesale rate, but in proportion. It means assigning an amount to one subject according to their share of the whole.
